OPENED HIS FIRST FACILITY IN 3 MONTHS

"From the moment I met Amanda till today, it's been roughly three months and I got my first resident yesterday. I framed that first paycheck. I'm going to keep that forever."

Brian is a middle school assistant principal in South LA who built Your Casita while still working full time. Rooted in the belief that his home becomes his residents' home and his families become his family, he opened in Santa Clarita providing 24-hour care for dementia, hospice, and daily living support.

"There was a lot of information I didn't know I didn't know. Meeting Boris and Amanda helped me avoid the mistakes and speed up the process."

"I probably wanted to give up about five times. There's no way I would have opened without the Palomino program. There are so many steps I just would have quit, to be honest."

Tiffany came from the corporate utility industry with no healthcare background and a fear that she'd never match her previous income. Six months after starting the program, she opened her first facility in Glendora. She now operates two locations in Glendora and San Gabriel, and her income has tripled.

"Now my income has tripled based off my original income. So I am happy to report that the fear of not earning enough is gone."

OPENED THEIR FIRST FACILITY IN 11 MONTHS

“They show you the secrets nobody wants to tell you. Amanda and Boris don't hold back. They literally tell you everything. They're not just an academy, they're mentors.”

Edgar came from manufacturing and engineering. Brooke was already a nurse. Together they bought a home, renovated it, navigated state licensing, and welcomed their first resident 11 months after starting, all while welcoming two children along the way. They operate Brio Vista Senior Care in Downey, CA.

“I never thought I would have my own business. When you see it thriving, it just warms your heart. You don't need a medical background. You just have to have a heart.”

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience in senior care to get started?

No. Brian came from education, Tiffany from the utility industry, and Edgar from manufacturing and engineering. None of them had a healthcare background. What they had was the commitment to learn and the right guidance to get through the process.

How long does it really take to open a facility?

It depends on how quickly you move through licensing and property selection. Our featured students opened in as little as 3 months and as long as 11. The state licensing process alone takes roughly 6 months, so the earlier you start, the sooner you open.

Can I do this while working a full-time job?

Yes. Brian was still working as a middle school assistant principal when he welcomed his first resident. The program is designed to work around your current schedule so you can build the business before making the full transition.

What if I have a family or other responsibilities?

Edgar and Brooke navigated the entire process while having a two-year-old and welcoming a newborn. This is a family-oriented business by nature. If anything, it gives you more reasons to keep going.

Will I be able to match or exceed my current income?

Tiffany was in a high-paying corporate job and wasn't sure she'd be able to replace that income. She now operates two locations and her income has tripled. Results vary based on occupancy and market, but the model is built for meaningful financial returns.

What makes this different from figuring it out on my own?

As Brian put it, there was a lot of information he didn't know he didn't know. The program gives you the roadmap, the community, the checklists, and the mentorship to avoid costly mistakes and move faster than you ever could alone.
